Tremolo ni: Halloween

This is going to be my second post. I think I have exceeded expectations by blogging up to this point.

I suppose the only reason I'm still at it is because I spend at least 15 minutes every morning at work, reading pinkpau's and kennyasia's blogs. Both really good and entertaining blogs. My friend told me last night to slag 'em off, start a flamewar or whatever that means but I just find pinkpau tremendously cute! How can you slag HER off? It's not possible. KENNYASIA on the other hand.. LOL well, let's just say that the things he write about are bearable only because Cleo editors won't let their writers write those shit dribbles from the 90's anymore. Crap like "Girls like egoistic men" and "Oh, I forgot, he looks like he's still in the 90's.

Nevertheless, when he's not posting his latest theories on why women blablabla.. His blog is rather amusing, and I am sure he is a nice boy too..

Last night me and me mates went to the studio for a quick session of band bonding. i.e. practice. We got Farouk, who is a friend of Handri (the cute keyboardist) to stand in for MIA Syed. haih. Farouk is a true pro at heart and he plays bass like he's black or something. I mean he's good. A friend of mine, hafiz also came to take some pictures for his portfolio (we're still figuring out what that means - hard, cuz we hav rockstar brains and all) However, we kinda sucked :D but I expected that. I suppose 3-4 months without practice can do that to a band. The next session bodes to be a better affair! Alas!

Afterwards we had the usual nasi lemak ayam at 10.30p.m. 'snack' at the nearby mamak which we fondly call "Mamak celah". I know it sounds rather disgusting and slightly disturbing right now, but When you see the place you would understand what i actually mean. Food was good, drinks were'nt that bad, and banter was up in the air. A few missed jokes on my part though but coming from me that is to be expected. I will post the pictures of the session when I get them from my buddy soon.

S, we were talking mainly about the music scene (as all malaysian rockers do when they finally stop talking about certain parts of a woman's body) and we came to the conclusion that there is something very wrong about it all. We couldn't figure out what exactly was wrong, but just generally wrong and going in that vaguely incorrect direction. I suppose the nasi lemak ayam prevented us from reaching any sort of conclusion as hafiz and I ordered another round.

Tremolo ichi

This will be my first post.

I don't really know why I've decided to call this blog 'tremolo'. I suppose it sounds catchy and is somewhat related to what I'll be blogging about. I am an aspiring musician living in KL and have been relentlessly trying to make better and better music as I grow old together with my guitars. And it is after all my hope that the value of my guitars would not deteriorate as fast as my good looks and health would (sic!).

I play in a band called 'Cloudburst' and we've been in and a rocky up and down state lately with the lack of shows being a pretty vital part of it I suppose. As you can see, it's not been a great ride. Thus the title 'aspiring musician' - it fits ever so perfectly doesn't it? cliche yet so abstract that no one could actually tell whether its a positive or a negative thing. We're in the midst of recording a short album (EP) and will complete it, providing our sound engineer returns on time from whichever country he's in right now, end of this year. So this is, I'm afraid, just a form of shameless, disgusting and 'prickly' piece of marketing on my part. I don't actually know whether there is any value to it? But I guess it won't harm to try.

So the story goes that I met my long lost friend Hafiz at Starbucks Subang Jaya last Monday and we were discussing about the band's next gig and glamor shoot (sic!) when he brought up the subject of blogging. So I asked him why on God's earth would I want to blog? I don't have a lot to talk about, so he replied and tell me to write about this conversation any other conversation I might have had with anyone about anything that somebody out there might find interesting to read. So I told him that I don't have conversations about sex anymore because most of my friends are married and talking to them about sex makes me uncomfortable because of anecdotal evidence. In the first person point of view. It burns the membrane.

So he told me instead to write about me and my band. I thought it was a good idea at the time because who would honestly pass up the chance to write long dribbles about their thoughts on the laptop 2-3 times a day. That guy must be maddd! So here I am, I suppose. So, tell me, what are the rules of blogging? AM I or AM I not allowed to use shorthand? netlinguafranca doodleatoodle? Can I say Fuckadoodledoo? Or Shitfacecockmaster? I duno. Erkh. I am hating this blog thing already. Its so... cramping.
