Tremolo nana: 8th December gig

We are going to have a gig this 8th December so the band has been practicing very2 hard. No I'm lying. We haven't practiced at all actually and I am really worried.

There's a worry that comes with not practicing before a big show and that is normal really. So in this short space of time the best thing is to cram in as much quality practice time before we embarrass ourselves in what could be the most important gig in our career as indie musicians.

That's what I want to talk about today. Procrastination. I think its a habit of us as humans to procrastinate. It comes naturally and whether we like it or not we will try and delay waking up every morning every single time. As an example, I believe i hit the snooze button at least 5 times this morning, and that's a good standard by any means. As I lumber out of bed with an almighty groan that sounded like a bear out of a cave I wonder if my life is going to remain in this dull repetitive pattern of one procrastination after another? I started to wonder what happened to all those hours that I got procrastinating? where did they go? Have I achieved anything from that 5 minutes snooze this morning? interesting thought. My mum always say the 5 minutes snooze that you take now could also be the 5 minutes snooze that you take after the job's done. So time finds a way to add itself up in the end; like a well calculated sum. So I start to wonder, if I blog now, during my free half an hour before my next class, instead of waiting until I get home later, would it mean that later on I will get another half hour extra?? Wow, my nipples tingle with anticipation of what I can accomplish during that time later.

I will tell you what I'll do during the half hour. Then again, I might not.

Tremolo roku: About a girl

My post this evening is going to be a little, shall we say.. sentimental. I was hoping to avoid using that particular word but at the moment the Thesaurus half of my brain has forsaken me for a pint with the latest offering from Mills and Boons - you sly lil dawg you.

Well, I am rather.. sentiyouknowwhat at the moment and I can't really help it if I weren't feeling otherwise ya know? It pains me to be apart from someone very special and as a Rock God, that is really takin the piss innit? I can't concentrate and I think about her all the time, man. It's really hard to do anything for that matter. And to make it worse, her cam isn't functioning so I can't video chat her and stuff. It is very Tibet indeed. Abstinence from the stuff and that kind of shit man. Its like goin monk dude.

Anyway, back to the heavier stuff. I have decided that my next song - which is as usual better than the last one i wrote is going to be a slow number (Oh no! not another one??) featuring some fantariffic work on the slide guitar by yours truly brutha! I am gona slide down that glassy pole of love for the love of country music and Dolly Parton's huge knockers. Ain't a fan of the melons but for country music I'll take a gander at the weighin'. yeeha! So I am currently heavily practicing madder than Ralph Maccio in Karate Kid. Wax in Wax off babey! and those instructional videos on the net proves to be useful too. Its just like having a scary uncle teach you guitar! but the difference is, he's in your bedroom staring thru ur screen. freaky.

so, hopefully i'll be able to post some snippets of the song as i record it. Nastalamesta bukau!

Tremolo yon: Cloudburst pictures

Some bloggers get away with just posting lots of pics on their posts. So I figured I could too. Here are some of the band pics in action

This is me with super awesome Fender Telecaster (Japan) '62 reissue. Its the best guitar I've played so far. Won't trade it for anything!

Here's the whole band in action. Farouk, Me, Handri, Bob, Eujihn

This is Eujihn. He is alrite but extremely sarcastic at times. He keeps forgetting to kiss my ass since I am the lead singer/songwriter and all.

Farouk. Heck of a bass player, very pleasant personality and good dancer.

Handri. Very talented, but finding it hard to land girls. I don't know why, he's suppose to be the cute one in the band. He needs to work on the "I don't give a fuck what you think" look on stage.

Last and definitely NOT least, Bob. Me and Bob started the band with Syed way back. We'z got bloods

Tremolo san: Why do girls like rockstars so much?

Here is my third post. I haven't posted on this blog for a while and whilst that may seem to sound like I have multiple other blogs, the truth of the matter is I just think that blogging is for pussies. Which now makes me one. And pussies don't get girls - i.e. dicks get girls i.e. rock stars get girls 90% of the time. We sometime even luck out on bisexuals! not too shabby I might say!

So I met this friend of mine a few months back while I was on blog sabbatical and he came to me teary eyed and asked me "Why do you guys get girls falling over youz all the time?" So I asked him back "Whaddaya mean 'us' guys?" in my best De Niro impersonation. So he said 'us' meaning 'youz' guys i.e. bands, rockstars, singers, shredders etc. So I said "Ahh... that 'us' guys.."

Apparently his girlfriend ran away and had sex in some cheap motel with the drummer of a house band (house bands are gay anyway so I don't feel guilty about writing this at all) and afterwards called him up cuz she was clueless as to her whereabouts and couldn't get a taxi. When he asked her what she was doing in the middle of Seremban she just replied "Oh, honey, don't get mad.. I've made a terrible mistake" i think it worked cuz I found out that they're still together.

On one hand I feel slightly guilty cuz another one of our brethren has once again tarnished the reputation that is already pretty darn muddy anyway. Rockstars will eat your women up. So lock up your daughters! Chain your aunties to the table whenever Michael learns to Rock comes to town (Which in our fair country, is about 3 times a year; we're so lucky). I've had my fair share of fandom but so far have not gone down that slippery slope as just yet (figuratively and literally).

So back to my mate's question about why 'us' guys get so much attention and adoration? it's simple. ELVIS. Elvis paved the way for so many rock penises over the last 60 years or so and it dun look like its gona stop. The Beatles, Stones, Led Zep (oh heck probably even Queen!) should be thanking the "Shaking Balls" for all the punanis they've accumulated over the years. I hear that people still would bang Paul McCartney. That's an achievement not to be matched by no other. ELVIS put sex in rock and rolled it the way it should. And until today, the fantasy of bangin a rockstar and the whole idea as being a feather in one woman's cap is still prevailing and I thank God for that.

Amen
